• The annual reception of businesswomen honors the trends of empowering women and enhancing their role in the national economy

    In the presence of Her Royal Highness Princess Salma bint Badr bin Abdulmohsen bin Abdulaziz, the wife of His Royal Highness Prince Ahmed bin Fahd bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the Eastern Region, Asharqia Chamber, represented by the Businesswomen's Center, held its annual reception on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, amidst an intense and distinguished female presence that witnessed at the Grand Ballroom of the Sheraton Hotel in Dammam,

    The ceremony was held annually honoring the members of the Board of Directors in the previous session, Samira Al-Sweegh and Manial Al-Hamdan,  as well as the Director of the Center for Businesswomen, Hind Al Zahid, as it is a move that Asharqia Chamber has always set up to honor those who serve in the business sector.

     

     

    In a speech during the ceremony, a member of the Board of Directors of the Chamber, Nouf bin Abdulaziz Al-Turki, appreciated the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Abeer Bint Faisal bin Turki, the wife of the Prince of the Eastern Region, and the presence of Princess Salma bin Badr bin Abdul Mohsen bin Abdulaziz to the ceremony.

    Shee said that they are keen to enhance and strengthen the role of Saudi women in the business sector and a great motivation for women to work towards more glamor and giving to serve the benevolent country.

    She added, "There is no doubt that this ceremony comes at a time when Saudi women are becoming partners in development as these achievements are results of the fair treatment from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, and His Highness the Crown Prince, to Saudi women, whose active opportunities have increased under their auspicious time to participate in the process of construction and development of the country."

    AlTurki stated that Asharqia Chamber pays special attention to businesswomen in the belief of women's vital role in economic development.

     

    Through its Center for Businesswomen, the Chamber launched several initiatives, presented programs and launched events, meetings, seminars, workshops and panel discussions to support women in the business world.

    She pointed to the Chamber's step to honor the members of the board of directors and former officials in the chamber that made efforts and played major roles in supporting the activity and the role of women economic in the Eastern region and contributed to the process of continuous development of this country.

    She said, "We have the right to offer them from this rostrum all the expressions of thanks and appreciation that do not meet their right to what they have presented."

     

          The ceremony was attended by a large number of businesswomen, women of the community and a number of academies, intellectuals and media officials. ​
